Japan’s Largest Lubricant Company Collaborates with GRC’s ElectroSafe Fluid Partner Program for Immersion Cooling in Data Centers

ENEOS, the largest lubricant company in Japan, has joined Green Revolution Cooling’s (GRC), the world leader in immersion cooling for data centers, ElectroSafe Fluid Partner Program. Through the use of its cooling oils, ENEOS will help GRC increase energy efficiency while promoting the safe operation of data centers.

With the approval of ENEOS’ immersion cooling fluids, GRC will not only have access to more readily available fluids on a worldwide scale, but it will also provide a platform for the two businesses to continue working together to create and utilize new fluid formulations and technological advancements.

According to Toru Konishi, Company President of ENEOS Lubricants Company, ENEOS is thrilled to participate in GRC’s significant initiative to enhance fluid performance and efficiency for liquid immersion cooling in data centers.

“GRC’s validation of our immersion cooling fluids will allow data center users to operate systems more safely and confidently while increasing efficiency. Additionally, we will help enable safer fluid operation and add value to the broader data center ecosystem by studying and advancing fluid development together with GRC.” said Konishi

In addition to being the largest lubricant lubricant company in Japan, ENEOS is also among the world’s leading lubricant manufacturers. With ENEOS’ participation in the ElectroSafe Fluid Partner Program, GRC and its clients will gain access to ENEOS’ extensive technological expertise gained over decades of lubricant development.

Ben Smith, Chief Product Officer at GRC, said that ENEOS and GRC have been working together for some time, and they hope that their involvement in GRC’s ElectroSafe Fluid Partner Program will help to deepen and improve their partnership.

“ENEOS and GRC will be able to offer additional fluid options to data centers globally while also continuing to work together to improve existing fluids and develop new formulations that improve operational uptime and efficiency,” said Smith.

The ElectroSafe Fluid Partner Program tests and certifies dielectric fluids made for GRC’s immersion cooling systems, ensuring that they are safe, effective, and meet customer expectations for increased data center energy efficiency, cooling capacity, and reliability. These solutions are made available globally and are environmentally responsible.

New fluid formulations are constantly being introduced to the market as immersion cooling use increases, and it is crucial that data center end-users have the assurance that the fluids they are utilizing adhere to rigorous standards. All of the fluids in the program will aid in attaining the various ESG goals of the clients in addition to improving data center performance.
