Jamie Khoo, CEO of DayOne, said, “The next phase of data center growth requires digital infrastructure and energy solutions to be planned and delivered in a coordinated way. For DayOne, we think about customers’ requirements in scalable land, power, energy and other critical resources from the earliest stages of development. Partnering with Sembcorp gives us an opportunity to explore integrated data center and energy solutions to support DayOne’s continued expansion across the region.”
Recently, Sembcorp has also entered into an MOU with Nxera Singapore to explore renewable and low-carbon energy solutions for Nxera’s data centers in Singapore. Last week, Sembcorp was appointed as an approved aggregator under the Singapore Economic Development Board’s biomethane sandbox, enhancing its low-carbon energy offering for data center customers.
