ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (India) (STT GDC India), a co-location data center services provider in India, has inaugurated STT Jaipur 1, its AI-ready data center in the capital of the Northwestern Indian state of Rajasthan. The facility spans 95,300 sq. ft. of built-up area, strategically located in the RIICO Industrial Area on Tonk Road, in close proximity to key ISP network PoPs.

In a LinkedIn post the company said that facility aims “to support Rajasthan’s digital growth, economic development, and technology-driven future” and enable low-latency connectivity for North India. The facility will have up to 6 MW of critical IT load capacity and provide carrier-neutral connectivity.

It further said that STT Jaipur 1 was designed for enterprises, hyperscalers, cloud providers, and government organisations. It further aims to deliver “the performance, reliability, and scalability needed for AI, cloud, disaster recovery, and edge deployments.”

STT Jaipur 1 is supported by dual, diverse, and redundant 33kV utility power sources from the 220kV and 132kV Sitapura substations. The facility also incorporates modular UPS systems with N+N configuration, N+C generator backup, an uptime SLA of up to 99.982%, and fully concurrently maintainable infrastructure for enhanced operational resilience.

STT Jaipur 1 is part of STT GDC India’s network of 34 data centres across 10 cities with a combined 613 MW critical IT load capacity. Readers would recall that in March this year, STT GDC India broke ground for its first data center at the new Palava campus in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. That facility will have an initial IT load capacity of 50 MW, and will be spread across 46 acres.
