Softlogic Information Technologies Ltd. (SITL) has successfully completed its implementation of the data center infrastructure for Credit Information Bureau (CRIB), the first Credit Information Bureau in the South Asian region.
The CRIB’s focus on modernization across the facility, infrastructure, and application stack will strengthen resiliency, enable fast business product innovation, and deliver improved customer experiences as part of its ongoing technological transformation journey.
The new infrastructure will allow clients to manage and access data in real-time. Along with the sole credit bureau in the country, the Credit Information Bureau of Sri Lanka, SITL has successfully established a highly durable, secure, and adaptable data center and cloud architecture that is essential to CRIB’s Score infrastructure.
The CRIB data center, which SITL implemented, is the largest data center in the country and secures over 13 million records with the most thorough cyber security approach. It was created to provide effective data management and process administration, as well as to guarantee the highest possible standards for data confidentiality and process integrity. CRIB has acted as a pillar in Sri Lanka’s financial infrastructure and continues to fortify the establishment of a strict credit culture there.
According to Roshan Rassool, Chief Executive Officer and Group Director of SITL, the core of CRIB’s strategy is to construct and deploy a highly resilient, secure, and flexible data center and cloud architecture.
“The successful development of the Crib Score data center is a monumental achievement for us, as it cements our continuous commitment to the local ICT industry in the infrastructure modernization space. I would like to thank each and every member of the team, and I would also like to extend my gratitude to the Credit Information Bureau, for placing their trust in us to successfully implement this infrastructure. “ said Rassool.
On the other hand, Nandi Anthony, Director and General Manager of Credit Information Bureau of Sri Lanka, said that the data center was developed expertly by Softlogic IT, and it was considerably better than they had anticipated. It wasn’t just a matter of filling out a Bill of Materials; because the pandemic was at its worst, the teams had to collaborate in order to finish the project.
SITL is widely used by banks, financial institutions, manufacturing companies, and large and mid-sized firms to guarantee the implementation of secure data storage solutions. Currently, SITL holds the designation of a main partner for VMware as well as a Titanium partner for Dell. It is a significant player in Sri Lanka’s cyber security market.
