Nutanix, a hybrid multi-cloud computing provider, has announced the general availability of its Cloud Clusters (NC2) on Microsoft Azure in Australia.
According to the company, Nutanix’s hybrid cloud environment is expanded by NC2 to include Azure-specific bare metal nodes. Customers can set up and maintain workloads in their own Azure account and VNet using NC2.
This, according to Nutanix, allows businesses to maintain straightforward operational models that are consistent between their on-premises system and Azure without having to re-arrange their application architecture.
Jim Steed, Nutanix managing director, said that the time and expense required for re-architecting applications created for legacy systems is one of the main obstacles facing Australian organizations on their transformation journey.
The company promotes NC2 as an express on-ramp to hybrid multi-cloud adoption, removing the obstacles caused by application dependency that have stymied earlier transformation strategies.
The Nutanix and Azure solution, according to senior analyst Paul Nashwaty of The Enterprise Strategy Group, tackles fundamental concerns many businesses confront by offering unified cloud management with application, data, and license portability.
Nutanix increased the size of its ANZ channel team last year by adding two new leaders for alliances and distribution sales. A new accreditation criterion and incentives were added to the company’s revamped Elevate partner program.
