BDx Indonesia to Develop 100MW Data Center in Suryacipta City Jakarta

Big Data Exchange (BDx), a leading data center solutions provider in Asia Pacific, has unveiled its plan to develop a new 100MW data center campus on 12 acres of land strategically located in the Suryacipta City of Industry, Jakarta, Indonesia.

East of Jakarta in Karawang, West Java, the new data center campus, CGK5, will become a part of BDx Indonesia’s third availability zone (AZ), enabling it to provide easy connectivity capabilities to the region’s bustling business district, which serves as the hub for numerous significant industries.

The city’s business district also has access to a smart power grid, which enables it to offer its clients continuously available, redundant, uninterrupted electric power.

Suryacipta City of Industry is one of Indonesia’s most sought-after and fully integrated smart industrial estates, and BDx Indonesia has acquired the land from PT Suryacipta Swadaya (Suryacipta), a member of Suryainternusa Group.

In and around the country’s capital city of Jakarta, BDx Indonesia’s four current data centers—which will be complemented by CGK5—will offer location diversity and a network-dense interconnection ecosystem for hyperscale clients.

The development of CGK5 makes it the eleventh data center for BDx in the Asia Pacific area, and the BDx Indonesia joint venture is essential to the performance of the entire BDx platform.

According to Mayank Srivastava, CEO of BDx and Interim President Director of BDx Indonesia, BDx Indonesia retains its commitment to help Digital Indonesia and continue its quick journey of expansion and innovation as they are ready to break ground on their 100MW greenfield Suryacipta campus in this vibrant market.

Being the only provider of data centers with three availability zones, they take great pride in delivering their hyperscale and business clients the greatest level of capacity and connectivity, first-rate data center operations, as well as sustainable solutions to support their expansion in the region.

In order to properly meet the needs of BDx’s clients in both current and future locations across the world, CGK5 will be constructed using cutting-edge technology on the basis of a proprietary standard basis of design.

The facility will leverage a variety of cutting-edge technologies to serve BDx Indonesia’s ESG goals as well as those of its clients, with a focus on sustainability as part of its design process.

Abednego Purnomo, Sales & Marketing Vice President, Suryacipta, congratulates BDx Indonesia as they are also proud to be chosen as the home of the new data center campus, CGK5.

A variety of multinational data centers have confidence in Suryacipta to expand Indonesia’s digital economy because the estate’s digital infrastructures are being continuously improved.
