Yondr Group, a hyperscale developer, owner and operator has completed its first 12 MW “ready for service” phase of its second 48 MW data center campus in Loudoun County, Northern Virginia. Yondr completed the first 48 MW data center at the Loudoun County campus in 2024.
In a press release the Northern Virginia new data center facility is part of Yondr Group’s 96MW hyperscale campus being developed in partnership with JK Land Holdings, LLC. The company has delivered the first 12 MW of capacity at the new facility. The remaining capacity is scheduled to come online in stages, with full operations expected in 2026.
Todd Sauer, VP Design & Construction Americas, Yondr Group, said, “This RFS milestone is the latest in a series of achievements across our North American data center portfolio and continues the strong progress we’re making in the important Northern Virginia market.”
John Madden, Chief Data Center Officer, Yondr Group, said, “As demand for capacity continues to increase, we are stepping up our investment in North America to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that meet our customers’ digital infrastructure needs.”
Yondr Group plans for an additional 240 MW on adjacent land, which would bring the total capacity of the Northern Virginia campus to 336 MW including the current 96 MW build-out.
Northern Virginia remains the largest data center market in the United States, accounting for nearly 60 percent of the country’s primary data center inventory, and more than 30 million square feet of operational space. Yondr’s latest milestone reflects its focus on expanding capacity in established hyperscale markets as demand for cloud infrastructure and AI-related workloads grows.
