Cassava Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with U.S.-based Entanglement, Inc. to accelerate the rollout of advanced AI, cyber-security and quantum-inspired technologies across Africa and the Middle East. The agreement was finalized in Cape Town, South Africa on November 13, and aims to fast-track digital innovation in high-growth markets including Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Morocco, South Africa and the Gulf.

Cassava Technologies, a technology company of African heritage, provides a vertically integrated ecosystem of digital services and infrastructure enabling digital transformation. Headquartered in the UK, Cassava has a presence across Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and the United States. Its business units include Africa Data Centres, Cassava AI, Liquid Cloud and Cyber Security, among others. Meanwhile, Entanglement, Inc. (EI) is a computing and AI company dabbling in cybersecurity, AI infrastructure optimization, bio-surveillance, maritime intelligence, and quantum climate modelling.

In a press release the companies said that they established their partnership by combining Cassava’s digital infrastructure, high-speed fibre networks and GPU-enabled computers in regional data centers with Entanglement’s artificial intelligence, cyber security and next-generation computing. Both companies plan to deliver solutions targeting critical sectors such as cyber security, healthcare, climate sustainability and data center efficiency.

“Across Africa, we are seeing growing demand for secure, reliable digital infrastructure with powerful processing capabilities. Collaborations like the one we have launched with Entanglement enable us to support the continent’s stakeholders in developing AI solutions relevant to Africa,” said Hardy Pemhiwa, President and Group CEO, Cassava Technologies.

Jason Turner, Chairman and CEO, Entanglement, said, “Our partnership with Cassava opens access to some of the fastest-growing digital economies on the planet and positions us for long-term leadership in Africa.”

Collaboration areas include telecom and AI model security, deployment of Entanglement’s seQure Ground-Truth tools, data center assurance and export-compliance work via the company’s West Palm Beach facility that optimizes AI infrastructure through its Hyper Train system. The companies will deploy biosurveillance technologies using Prepaire and expand climate-intelligence forecasting with Quantum Almanac.

The partnership will establish regional innovation hubs for technology development, training programmes and co-creation initiatives which help local markets participate in the global digital economy.
