Vyoma.AI, the integrated AI cloud and hyperscale data center business of L&T, has held the groundbreaking ceremony of its upcoming 52 MW AI-Ready green data center in Chennai, India.
This data center is part of L&T’s planned AI Factory campus in Chennai, a gigawatt-scale AI hub that already hosts AI compute clusters in an operational 30 MW facility and is supported by 150 MVA of power infrastructure readiness.
In a press release, Vyoma.AI said that the facility was purpose-built for high-density AI workloads, and will feature direct-to-chip liquid cooling technology, renewable energy integration and energy-efficient technologies. It will cater to hyperscalers, neoclouds and AI innovators.
“As AI adoption accelerates, the data center is being designed to deliver the performance, scalability and resilience required for next-generation workloads while advancing sustainable, low-carbon digital infrastructure,” said Prashant Chiranjive Jain, MD, Vyoma.AI
Readers would recall that in August this year, Vyoma.AI had secured an NVIDIA B300 AI Factory in Chennai for Together AI, a US-based AI cloud provider. Now, this latest data center initiative strengthens Vyoma.AI’s digital infrastructure portfolio and supports its national expansion roadmap targeting over 250 MW of data center capacity across India.
