Tay Ninh Province in Vietnam is considering a proposed US$ 700 million artificial intelligence data center project following discussions with Taiwan’s World Vision United Group and its international partners.

The proposal, involving an investment consortium led by SAIGONTEL, would cover 20 hectares at Nam Tan Uyen Industrial Park. The planned facility would have a capacity of 200 MW, with the first phase accounting for 100 MW as reported by Saigon Giai Phone.

A delegation from Vietnam’s Tay Ninh Province recently visited Taipei, Taiwan, to survey the YiDi project in Datong District and hold discussions with World Vision United Group and its international partners. During a working session, the investors presented the project proposal to provincial officials, outlining its proposed scale and investment.

According to Tay Ninh authorities the project could support the development of the local digital economy and attract high-tech investment. However, the province will hold further discussions with the investors to assess the project’s feasibility.

The next stage will focus on clarifying requirements for infrastructure, power supply and technology, as well as the proposed investment scale and implementation schedule.
