True Internet Data Center Company Limited (True IDC) is investing over 10 billion baht (approximately USD 28 million) to significantly expand its data center and cloud business capabilities in Thailand from 2024 to 2027.
The focus is on projects such as expanding data centers at True IDC East Bangna Campus and True IDC North Muangthong. This investment aims to elevate Thailand’s data center standards, catering to global businesses, including hyperscalers, cloud providers, OTT services, and AI-focused industries.
The projects will offer a service area exceeding 60,000 square meters, constructed to Uptime and TIA-942 standards. With an additional electricity capacity of 41 megawatts, True IDC aims to achieve the lowest Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) in Thailand. Completion is expected in 2025, providing a carrier-neutral network with four diverse routes for seamless data access.
In tandem, True IDC is investing in sustainability, aiming to become a green data center. This includes LEED-compliant building design, utilization of eco-friendly materials, and integration of systems supporting sustainability. Clean energy sources like wind and biofuel cells, along with electric vehicle charging stations, will contribute to environmental goals.
Furthermore, in alignment with the Charoen Pokphand Group, True IDC aims to be carbon-neutral by 2030, reflecting a commitment to cutting-edge infrastructure, environmental sustainability, and operational excellence in the digital era.
