ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC Philippines) is embarking on a substantial expansion plan in the Philippines by the third quarter of this year. They are set to boost their capacity by 5.2MW across their three existing data centers in Makati, Cavite, and Quezon City.
According to Carlo Malana, President and CEO of STT GDC Philippines, this capacity expansion aligns with their growth strategy and reinforces their dedication to support the government’s objectives of providing reliable and robust digital infrastructure to the people of the Philippines.
Currently, STT GDC Philippines manages a network of five data centers, boasting a combined IT capacity of 22MW. An impressive aspect of their operations is that over 95 percent of their power is sourced from renewable energy, underscoring their commitment to sustainability in partnership with Globe, STT GDC, and the Ayala Group.
Moreover, the company also plans to operate a total of over 150MW of IT capacity in the coming years. As a significant step towards achieving this goal, they recently announced the establishment of their latest data center campus, STT Fairview, with an IT capacity of 124MW.
