Singapore-headquartered data center platform ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC), yesterday announced a major expansion of its Jakarta campus which includes the launch of the 24MW STT Jakarta 2, the topping out of STT Jakarta 3, and the groundbreaking of STT Jakarta 5 and STT Jakarta 6. The latter two facilities are planned to support 40MW of IT load each.

These milestones advance a long-term development pipeline of more than 360MW of AIready, hyperscalegrade, locally hosted infrastructure and sustainable IT capacity amid growing cloud, AI and digital infrastructure demands. From day one, the firm is able to achieve carbon neutral operations through its collaboration with PLN.

Another milestone is the energisation of an onsite highvoltage substation, believed to be the first data centre campus in Indonesia to do so.

As an NVIDIA colocation partner, STT GDC’s data halls are engineered for the next generation of NVIDIA Vera Rubin and Vera Rubin Ultra platforms.

Hendrikus Hendra Gozali, Country Head, STT GDC Indonesia, said, “Indonesia is entering a new phase of digital growth where infrastructure readiness will become increasingly important in supporting AI adoption, cloud expansion, and enterprise transformation. The continued expansion of our Jakarta data centre campus underscores our long-term commitment to meeting these evolving needs with scalable, high-density capacity that supports both current and next-generation workloads, backed by secured highvoltage power onsite and carbonneutral operations from day one.”

Bruno Lopez, President and Group Chief Executive Officer, STT GDC, said, “Indonesia is one of Southeast Asia’s most important digital infrastructure markets, driven by accelerating demand for cloud and AI. This expansion reflects our conviction in this country’s long-term growth and our commitment to delivering the scale, resilience and readiness required to support Indonesia’s next phase of digital development.”

To address the shortage of experienced data center staff, STT GDC Indonesia has established a Data Centre Laboratory Learning Centre in West Java, in partnership with ATMI Cikarang, to support industry-relevant training.

The company is also supporting communities around its Jakarta campus through targeted initiatives, including a community badminton facility in Cikarang and environmental programmes such as mangrove planting to support coastal resilience and local livelihoods.

STT GDC operates across Singapore, the UK, Germany, India, Italy, Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia and Vietnam.
