
The W.Media Asia Pacific Cloud & Datacenter Awards is the region’s flagship awards programme, recognising achievements and excellence across all mission critical technology sectors.
Any company within Asia Pacific, whether public or private sector can enter, regardless of size or industry. The awards have a range of categories suited for any successful organisation or individual to tell their story; from large private and public companies through to thriving entrepreneurial businesses, promising start-ups and established SMEs
Since 2018, W.Media’s industry following has grown exponentially across Asia Pacific. IT and Data Center Professionals from established and emerging markets have poured forward in tens of thousands to network and learn through W.Media’s platforms.
W.Media will be presenting 4 Awards, one for each sub-region – Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, South Asia and Australasia. Each Award will feature 16 categories. With up to 61 winners, this will be the largest Awards series in 2022 for the Cloud & Datacenter Community in Asia Pacific.

Judging Process
The Awards Judges have come from around the globe to participate on our esteemed jury panels. Judging is carried out independently by each regional panel of judges made up of reputable industry experts. The majority of our Awards Judges will be anonymous as they hold procurement responsibilities and are strategic influencers in our industry. It is essential that the evaluation is focused on the submissions themselves to ensure a fair and equitable assessment process.
Data center equipment and servers produce a lot of heat, which means a large portion of expenditures come from cooling. IT equipment must remain at a safe temperature, which calls for proper ventilation and cooling in the data center. Power consumption can be lessened by optimizing or innovating not just the cooling operations, but also the technology adoption.
This category is open to any recent (<18 months) data center project that resulted in significant benefits to the data center owner where the energy efficiency of the facilities concerned.

Sustainable design is about building the future, not just a structure. Sustainability is as much about process as it is about product. Seeing sustainable design as a process empowers “green” designers and constructors to better evaluate and anticipate the environmental, economical and social impacts and costs. Many data centers have made a commitment to sustainable energy solutions by turning to sources of renewable power.
This category is open to any recent (<18 months) project involving the design and build of a new data center anywhere in the region.
