Ricoh and Cisco have entered an agreement to optimise hybrid workplaces in Hong Kong, by introducing their joint premier cloud service, “Secure Remote Access Solutions,” and IT equipment.
To accommodate the network connectivity demands of hybrid workspaces, Ricoh Hong Kong has repositioned its services across four areas of expertise: Hybrid Workplace, Digital Workflow & Automation, Cloud & IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity. Ricoh now offers customers collaborative technologies which can enhance user efficiency and support companies’ digital transformation efforts.
First Region to Benefit from Sustained Efforts in Global Partnership
Notably, the pandemic has driven many companies to adopt remote working practices and operations to limit the risks of COVID-19 transmission. Instead of transitioning back to pre-pandemic in-person working arrangements, many firms are instead seeking to retain or scale up their hybrid operations.
Ricky Chong, Senior Director of Ricoh Hong Kong, expressed his optimism about the partnership, saying “in this global partnership program, Hong Kong is the first area in the Asia-Pacific region to benefit from this sustained effort in international partnership, providing users with the most comprehensive office network, Internet of Things, and IT management services.
Chong added that as more companies were switching to creating smart workplaces, and adopting remote and hybrid work modes, Ricoh’s partnership with Cisco “combines basic network facilities and high-quality network services, and can offer more professional and highly-efficient IT support for different types of companies.”
Head of Partner Organisation at Cisco Hong Kong, Andrew Wong, noted that ““Network connectivity is the most basic and important IT infrastructure requirement for any business operation. As more digital solutions, sensors, and artificial intelligence technologies are applied to various business activities, stable performance, flexible control and network security are the three most important points for companies.”
Wong also affirmed his support for the collaboration. “Cisco is very pleased to partner with Ricoh in the Hong Kong market to introduce Cisco Meraki’s Secure Remote Access Solutions, assisting companies of all sizes to implement hybrid working, and therefore meeting their requirements for unlocking the power and efficiencies of modern workstyle and smart workplace.”
