Rajnish Khare has joined Union Bank of India as Chief Digital Officer (CDO), a digital banking leader with over 23 years of experience in banking, creating progressive and future-shaped transformational experiences and capabilities for domestic and international banks. As part of his responsibilities, he has been responsible for Digital Strategy, Technology, Transformation, Payments, Digital Channels, Innovation, Platforms, Ecosystems, and Future Ready Initiatives.
In his previous organizations, he has served in executive leadership positions such as Head of Digital Transformation at HDFC Bank, Chief Innovation Officer at Citibank, Head of Direct Banking & Innovation at Standard Chartered Bank, Head of Alternate Channels & Cross-sell at ICICI Bank, and many other key roles where he was responsible for developing global digital assets that improved business and accelerated growth for the organization.
He played a leading role in the launch of the first Peer 2 Peer Payments platform. in India’s banking industry – Chillr, What’s App banking, wearable digital banking Real-Time Fraud Detection, Cross-sell at Point of Sale, RM Connect, Video Marketing, 10 Sec loan, Internal Social Collaboration, the country’s first Digit Command Center in the banking industry, Automated Signature Verification, Real-time Fraud Detection, and Remote Cheque Deposit.
He has won numerous awards internationally and in India – A few notable ones being: Asia Pacific Digital Transformation Leader of the Year by IDC Singapore, ICON of the year award by HDFC Bank MD, and Golden Peacock Award for Innovation.
He mentors Fintechs and Startups across the Globe and is an International Speaker.
