PLDT Explores Potential for 13th Data Center Amidst Expansion Plans

PLDT is actively considering the prospect of adding a 13th data center to its network, contingent on the demand from businesses.

The company is on the verge of finalizing the location for its 12th data center, set to be established in the National Capital Region, providing essential utilities such as power and water to its clients. Meanwhile, the company

ePLDT President and CEO, Victor Genuino, highlighted the ongoing focus on completing VITRO Sta. Rosa, the company’s 11th and largest data center, by the second quarter of 2024 as per the planned schedule. The facility, which boasts a total capacity of up to 50 megawatts, aims to meet the growing demands of enterprises in the region.

Looking ahead, PLDT aims to double the capacity of its upcoming 12th data center to 100 MW, a strategic move aligning with the influx of investments from hyperscale clients in the Philippines.

The company’s expansion endeavors signify its commitment to catering to the evolving needs of the market, ensuring robust infrastructure for businesses in the digital age.
