Macquarie Cloud Services Signs Five-Year Network Monitoring Deal with FirstWave Cloud Technology

Macquarie Cloud Services, a subsidiary of Macquarie Telecom Group, has signed a five-year deal with FirstWave Cloud Technology, for the provision of network monitoring and intelligence software.

As part of the deal, FirstWave’s Network Management Information System (NMIS) will be part of the portfolio of products which Macquarie Cloud Services may now have access to.

NMIS is set to provide Macquarie Cloud Services with the network intelligence that will enable Macquarie Cloud Services to consolidate management of IT tools, and enhance the visibility of critical systems.

Seamless Integration with Existing Systems at Scale

James Mystakidis, Group Executive at Macquarie Cloud Services, expressed his confidence in FirstWave’s capabilities as a vendor of network management services. “We are pleased to be working with FirstWave to implement a new level of network monitoring and automation within our business. We believe  their software will help us to be more efficient in how we manage our network, and improve outcomes for our customers.”

CEO and Managing Director of FirstWave, Danny Maher, affirmed that “we are thrilled to be selected as Macquarie’s vendor of choice in this critical area of their business. Working within Macquarie’s standard supplier terms of agreement, the five-year nature of the agreement together with the thoroughness of the decision making process and NMIS’s proven track record makes us confident we will meet and exceed Macquarie’s expectations.”

Maher also noted that this agreement was a significant step of expansion for FirstWave in Australia, saying that “Macquarie Telecom Group is a major telco, cloud and data centre services provider to business and government in Australia. Their commitment broadens our current channel to the Australian market and, with the broad portfolio of products now available from FirstWave, I look forward to the opportunity to deepen our relationship across other areas of the Group over time.”

He observed that businesses are finding network management services to be more crucial to their operations, and expects that demand for network monitoring services would grow.

“Macquarie Cloud Services’ strategic objective of having a ‘Manager of Managers’ across their network monitoring systems is addressing a problem faced by many businesses globally. We are proud to be providing them with more than just a network monitoring solution, but the ability to integrate seamlessly with their existing systems, at scale.”
