Organizations are increasingly adopting multi-cloud and multi data center heterogenous networks, according to Huawei. The China headquartered technology major along with IEEE-UAE, Ankabut and Commercial Bank of Kuwait (CBK) released the L3.5 Data Center Autonomous Driving Network White Paper at HUAWEI CONNECT 2022 in Dubai which can assist improve the level of automation and intelligence of data center networks (DCNs), and it will be a useful point of reference for businesses.
Organizations need to focus on the network architecture, major features, and typical application scenarios of L3.5 autonomous driving networks (ADNs) in data center scenarios, as well as deployment strategies for important industries like finance, government service, and energy.
As the digital economy becomes a major force for global economic growth and enterprise data centers rapidly expand, data center networks must immediately find solutions. Enterprises now regularly use multi-cloud and multi-DC heterogeneous networks. Therefore, enterprise clients must centrally manage and coordinate multi-cloud DCNs and multi-vendor network devices.
Moreover, for the purpose of implementing intelligent closed-loop management throughout the process, the ADN must smoothly integrate into the O&M systems and IT procedures of businesses, which differ greatly amongst businesses.
Huawei’s research suggests that the L3.5 data center autonomous driving network, which implements high-level automation and intelligence capabilities like unified management, flexible orchestration and collaboration, and simulation in multi-cloud and multi-vendor networks, in order to achieve complete automation.
According to Arthur Wang, Vice President of Huawei’s Data Center Network Domain, the data center autonomous driving network from Huawei is the first in the industry to go from L3.0 to L3.5. He further added that there is a need to look at best practices from various industries to assist businesses establish flexible, dependable services while lowering their OPEX and CAPEX which will increase their competitiveness.
Currently, the Data Center Autonomous Driving Network Solution from Huawei has been installed in data centers belonging to more than 10,000 clients, including companies in the financial, government, manufacturing, and energy industries.
