EDGE DC’s second data center, EDGE2, located in Kuningan, South Jakarta, has reached a significant milestone with its topping-off ceremony.
The completion of this data center later this year is expected to make it the largest data center in downtown Jakarta.
Focusing on environmentally friendly design, the company aims to obtain LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). EDGE2 will be supported by Indonet’s fiber routes linking it to other key data centers in the Greater Jakarta Area.
Area31 data center located in Depok, West Java, Indonesia, initially gained headlines when it became the first data center in ASEAN to receive the ISO 22237 certification.
In June, DCI Indonesia, in partnership with Salim Group, unveiled their second data center, H2-02, at the H2 Data Center Campus in Karawang. DCI has incorporated solar power facilities into H2-02, making it the first solar-powered data center in Indonesia.
Indonesia has made data centers a priority, attracting both domestic and foreign investors. Through its 2020–2024 Strategic Plan, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has been promoting policies to encourage cloud computing and the construction of national data centers.
