Global data center platform Digital Realty today launched its Malaysia platform comprising two built facilities in Cyberjaya with a combined 16.5 MW of IT capacity, and a planned 14MW data center, the firm says in a statement. The three-facility campus will mark the company’s entry into Malaysia, its third presence in Southeast Asia after Singapore and Jakarta.
In January, Digital Realty had announced plans to acquire CSF Advisers, owners of the ultra-connected 1.5MW TelcoHub 1 data center, which upon completion recently, was renamed KUL10, one of the three facilities. Digital Realty plans to double its capacity by Q4 2027.
The others are KUL11, a newly acquired AI-ready facility with 15MW of IT capacity and located about 500 meters from KUL10; and an adjacent 1.6-acre site, located about 200m from KUL10. It is planned as an AI-ready and co-location facility accommodating 14MW of IT load, and is targeted for completion in mid-2028.
Planned as a multi-site deployment, the three-facility campus are all connected via dedicated fiber, to be supported by more than 40 network service providers, and cloud and connectivity partners.
By integrating its Cyberjaya facilities into PlatformDIGITAL® and enabling interconnection through ServiceFabric®, Digital Realty will support distributed, AI and data-intensive workloads requiring low-latency, high-performance connectivity across markets.
Officiated by Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital for Malaysia, the ceremony was also witnessed by Zuaida Abdullah, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Investment Development, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA); Wan Murdani, Senior Vice President, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), alongside Digital Realty leadership including Serene Nah, Managing Director and Head of Asia Pacific, Govind Choudhary, General Manager, Southeast Asia and India, and Billy Lee, Chairman, CSF Advisers Sdn Bhd & Advisor for Digital Realty in Malaysia.
