Zain KSA, a telecommunications and integrated digital services provider in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DataVolt, a global investor, developer, and operator of data centers, for a partnership to co-develop facilities across the Kingdom. The MoU was signed at LEAP 2026.
In a press release, the companies said that they aim to combine Zain KSA’s capabilities in telecommunications networks and infrastructure and digital services with DataVolt’s experience in developing and operating data centers. The partnership aims to develop flexible, scalable capacity to meet Zain KSA’s future requirements, while providing additional capacity for government entities, businesses, large enterprises, cloud service providers, digital content companies, and digital platforms. It will also deliver the computing power required to run and process advanced AI applications.
The planned data centers will be designed with a focus on energy efficiency, sustainability, resilience, and scalability. They will also feature infrastructure capable of supporting high-density computing, advanced cooling systems, and high-capacity connectivity in line with the requirements of modern cloud services and data- and AI-driven applications.
