NTT DATA, an artificial intelligence, digital business, and technology services provider that forms part of NTT Group, has announced the global expansion of NTT DATA AI Factories, launching facilities in Paris, France, Munich, Germany, and Singapore this month to join existing AI factories in Plano, Texas, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

These facilities help businesses and technology leaders evaluate AI workloads against real-world requirements including infrastructure architecture, performance workload placement, and cost. According to a press release, the AI factories are designed to help clients make deployment decisions with greater confidence and alleviate the bottlenecks stalling AI’s shift from pilot programs to production.

“AI at scale is ultimately about turning intelligence into measurable business impact,” said Dilip Kumar, NTT DATA President and Global Head, Infrastructure Solutions. “That requires organizations to balance innovation with responsibility and make informed choices about where AI creates value and how it can be deployed sustainably and economically. Our AI Factories help clients build that confidence before they scale.”

Earlier this month the company launched NTT DATA AI Factory Munich at the NTT Global Data Centers’ Munich 2 facility. The AI factory lets organizations test AI they make, own, and control against their own use cases before making investment decisions. The Munich 2 facility has 6,300 square meters of data center space across two buildings and a total critical IT load of 14 MW.

NTT DATA says that its AI Factories are underpinned by technology including Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA full-stack infrastructure built for neocloud and sovereign cloud demand. According to Cassie Roach, Cisco Global Vice President of AI Infrastructure and Connectivity Partner Sales, Cisco’s solution, combined with NTT DATA’s expanding presence, creates a strong foundation to transition AI workloads from experimentation into production.

“Scaling AI goes beyond computing. Enterprises need a secure and resilient infrastructure foundation that spans infrastructure, security, performance and operations — while maintaining control of their data and AI economics,” said Roach.

At the beginning of October, w.media reported that NTT DATA was nearing an agreement with Anthropic to develop a large-scale data center in Osaka, Japan, at a reported cost of US$ 6.3 billion. Neither firm has confirmed the deal, but negotiations are reportedly set to be completed by the end of March 2027. If the deal goes ahead, the facility would be Anthropic’s first dedicated data center in Japan. Partial operations could begin as soon as 2028.
