Neysa, an Artificial Intelligence acceleration cloud platform in India, has selected STTGDC, a global colocation data center services provider, to host a new deployment of GPU infrastructure and its Velocis AI cloud platform. The first phase, supporting up to 9,000 GPUs, is expected to go live from the first quarter of CY2027 at STT Noida 2, located in northern India, in close proximity to the capital city of New Delhi.
In a press release, STTGDC revealed that this deployment marks the first phase of a multi-year working relationship between the two companies, and is designed for high-density AI training and inference.
The deployment aims to enable enterprises and startups to run production AI workloads in India with predictable latency and data residency, and give customers access to the infrastructure needed to develop, train and deploy AI applications closer to their users and data.
“We are building Neysa for the long term, to serve businesses in India and global compute customers looking to add India to their infrastructure footprint. Our customers need more than access to GPUs. They need capacity they can plan around, reliable operations and room to scale as their workloads evolve,” said Sharad Sanghi, CEO, Neysa. “That is why we plan the compute, platform and data center infrastructure together. Our planned deployment at STTGDC’s Noida data center is one part of that approach, bringing GPU infrastructure and Velocis, our AI Cloud platform, together to support AI workloads in production.”
Readers would recall that in February this year, private equity funds affiliated with Blackstone, and co-investors entered into definitive agreements to invest into Neysa, enabling a US$ 1.2 billion capital raise.
“India’s AI ambitions will depend not only on access to compute, but on the digital infrastructure required to support increasingly complex and compute-intensive workloads at scale. We are proud to work with Neysa and its co-founder and CEO, Sharad Sanghi, whose work in building one of India’s earliest internet data center companies helped shape the country’s data center industry,” said Bimal Khandelwal, CEO – India, STTGDC.
STTGDC operates 28 data centers across 10 locations in India. In July this year, it inaugurated STT Jaipur 1, its AI-ready data center in the capital of the Northwestern Indian state of Rajasthan. The facility spans 95,300 sq. ft. of built-up area. It will have up to 6 MW of critical IT load capacity, and provide carrier-neutral connectivity.
