Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sunway Construction Group Berhad, has been awarded two data center jobs in Johor worth a combined RM 956 million (US$ 235 million) from a United States-headquartered multinational technology corporation, the company announced in two separate Bursa filings last week. The first job entailed the core and shell package works worth RM 570 million while the second job involved the provision of site infrastructure works worth RM 386 million for two projects.

The location of both jobs is in Johor and works are to commence immediately, according to the two Letters of Award given separately.

The first job is targeted to be completed by Q4 2026 while the second job consisting of site infrastructure works is scheduled to be completed by October 2026.

The Letter of Award for the first job gives the tech company the option (without any obligation) to award the mechanical and engineering fit-out works package to Sunway Construction.

This brings the total value of new projects secured this year to RM4.9 billion with total outstanding order book value standing at RM 6.4 billion.
