Data center provider DartPoints recently completed a US$ 125 million expansion of its Greenville County, South Carolina, data center increasing capacity from 2.5 megawatts to 12.5 MW and adding 88,000 sq ft of space.
The Greenville site serves enterprises and universities that rely on high-performance computing and research capabilities to advance AI innovation. Facility construction started in 2025 and the expanded facility is scheduled for operation in Q2 2027. The project was completed as part of DartPoints’ broader multi market expansion initiative with NOVA Infrastructure, which aims to increase sustainable, scalable data center capacity across the Southeast and Midwest.
The expansion, announced in partnership with the South Carolina Department of Commerce, reflects the state’s focus on attracting technology-driven growth and investment, DartPoints said in a press release.
This expansion reflected the demand for “Critical IT Power” from enterprises, cloud providers, and digital service operators across the Southeast United States.
Scott Willis, CEO, DartPoints, said, “Expanding our Critical IT Power in this market strengthened the local technology ecosystem while giving customers the performance, efficiency and reliability they needed closer to where their data lives.”
Henry McMaster, Governor, South Carolina Gov. said, “The growth underscored the state’s emergence as a destination for digital business and demonstrated the importance of continued infrastructure investment.”
The upgraded facility provides support for power densities to 120 kilowatts per cabinet with flexible suites and advanced cooling systems suited for high-performance applications.
