ZTE to Assist in Transforming Numerous Traditional Sites into Dual-Network 4G/5G Sites in Malaysia

ZTE is set to embark on a close collaboration with Malaysia’s two major operators, marking the commencement of a new era characterized by dual-network integration. This project aims to streamline network consolidation within a three-year timeframe, with the ultimate goal of reducing the number of wireless sites in Malaysia’s existing network by 35%.

The geographical landscape of eastern Malaysia presents unique challenges, primarily characterized by rugged terrain and extensive plateaus, resulting in limited network coverage. Conversely, in the western region, which serves as the nation’s economic and political hub, there remains room for improvement in the quality of the existing network infrastructure. Thus, the concept of dual-network integration carries significant delivery pressure in the country.

This integration entails merging the networks of two established operators, entailing the relocation and replacement of network equipment. The appeal of dual-network integration lies in its capacity to substantially diminish the physical site count within the existing network, thereby reducing ongoing operational costs. Moreover, it facilitates the creation of a high-quality and competitive network, making it the favored choice among international operators.

Faced with a plethora of intricate solution scenarios and intricate technical delivery paths, ZTE has adopted an integration strategy that combines traditional innovations with a survey approach in electronic engineering and an offline listing mode. This strategic approach is geared towards facilitating efficient site surveys and design processes, aiding partners in navigating the complexities of dual-network integration.

Moving forward, ZTE is committed to maintaining its collaborative efforts with Malaysia’s operators. Leveraging their professional expertise, they will meticulously design every site, enabling customers to seamlessly complete the dual-network integration. This initiative promises to deliver a more stable and rapid communication experience to the local populace, further enhancing connectivity within the region.
