Yondr Group Energizes First Data Center Campus in Malaysia

Yondr Group has announced the successful energization of its inaugural campus located within Johor’s esteemed Sedenak Tech Park. This achievement is significant as it paves the way for the delivery of 300MW of critical IT capacity upon completion.

The campus, situated within the Sedenak Tech Park, is slated for development across multiple phases and boasts access to advanced dark fiber connectivity, scalable utilities, and robust infrastructure. This development underscores Yondr’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

The energization follows Yondr’s entry into the Malaysian market in March 2022, demonstrating the company’s ability to swiftly and reliably develop hyperscale data center projects.

Furthermore, Yondr recently secured a strategic partnership with Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Southeast Asia’s largest publicly listed power company. This partnership includes an Electricity Supply Agreement enabling the delivery of over 300MW IT load via a modern 275kV high voltage substation, positioning Yondr’s site as a key hyperscale data center campus in Southeast Asia.

By reaching this milestone, Yondr moves closer to its goal of strengthening Malaysia’s digital infrastructure. The Sedenak Tech Park, formerly known as Kulai Iskandar Data Exchange (KIDEX), spans 700 acres within the expansive Sedenak Technology Valley, placing Yondr’s development in close proximity to various technology-driven industries and research facilities.

Located near vital data center hubs such as Singapore, Johor offers valuable interconnectivity routes, ensuring Yondr’s Malaysian clients benefit from long-term scalability potential in both power and land requirements.
