Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited, an Indian renewable energy company, has announced that its subsidiary Waaree Green Data Centers Private Limited, formerly Sunsantional Energy Private Limited, has incorporated a new wholly-owned subsidiary, Aurovault Data Centers Private Limited.
According to an NSE filing, Aurovault Data Centers will establish, develop, design, finance, construct, own, lease, operate, maintain, manage, and commercialize hyperscale, AI-ready, and edge data centers. The company will also establish and develop disaster recovery centers, cloud infrastructure facilities, digital infrastructure parks and colocation facilities in India and abroad.
In addition to the above, Aurovault Data Centers will provide services including colocation, managed hosting, cloud connectivity, internet exchange, network, disaster recovery, business continuity, data storage, cybersecurity, AI infrastructure, GPU hosting, and high-performance computing.
The incorporation of Aurovault Data Centers comes just days after Sunstar Data Centers Private Limited was spun up on September 11, 2026. Like Aurovault, Sunstar is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Waaree Green Data Centers.
Waaree Green Data Centers holds 100 percent of the shares of the new data center entities, subscribing to their memoranda of association for cash consideration. Neither entity is currently operational. Neither entity is currently operational.
India is seeing broad growth in the data center market. According to Mordor Intelligence, hyperscalers are pre-committing 50 – 100 MW blocks and signing 15-year power purchase agreements for their projects. This, combined with other factors will see capacity in the country grow from 4.48 GW in 2025 to 15.21 GW by 2031.
