Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) launched its eighth and most extensive data center at the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park, signifying a substantial advancement in Vietnam’s data infrastructure capacity.
Covering an area of 23,000 square meters and furnished with 2,000 rack cabinets, the Hoa Lac Data Centre stands as a pioneering achievement in Vietnam’s technological landscape. This facility, a testament to significant investments in the country’s technological backbone, signifies a transformative moment in Vietnam’s data capabilities.
This data center has also achieved an Uptime Tier III certification for its impeccable design, construction, and operational sustainability. This prestigious certification ensures that the facility maintains resilience and seamless operation, even during maintenance and upgrades.
VNPT currently operates a total of eight data centers across various strategic locations, including Hanoi, Danang, and Ho Chi Minh City. Each of these centers strictly adheres to both domestic and international standards, as confirmed by Huynh Quang Liem, CEO of VNPT.
The Hoa Lac data center now stands as Vietnam’s largest and most advanced data facility, poised to provide the nation with premier data services customized to meet the diverse needs of both domestic and international clients.
The Vietnam data center market is expected to increase from $561 million in 2022 to $1,037 million by 2028, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.68% over the six-year period.
Vietnam was among the top 10 emerging markets for international data centers. With a significant number of businesses and organizations and a service delivery capability that meets international standards, the Vietnamese data center market has experienced tremendous growth.
