True IDC Leads Thailand’s Green Data Center Revolution

2 Solar Energy Project

True Internet Data Center Company Limited (True IDC) asserts its leadership role in Thailand’s green data center evolution through a strategic blend of conventional and clean energy sources.

Employing cutting-edge technology to align with the government’s energy policy, the company aims to surpass a 30% threshold for domestic renewable energy usage by 2030.

True IDC’s clean energy initiative seeks to revolutionize the data center’s power consumption paradigm, transitioning from conventional to a significantly higher proportion of clean energy sources.

The primary focus is on diminishing reliance on coal and natural gas, thereby reducing carbon footprint, mitigating the greenhouse effect, and accruing carbon credits throughout the 20-year lifespan of the project.

In collaboration with Altervim Company Limited, a prominent clean energy provider, True IDC is spearheading a groundbreaking project leveraging solar cell technology.

With an impressive maximum installation capacity of around 1 megawatt peak (MWp), this initiative is poised to generate a substantial 1,400,000 kilowatt-hours (KWH) of electricity annually.

Projections indicate that the project will contribute to the reduction of up to 11,000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent over its operational period. True IDC is slated to commence the utilization of clean energy from this initiative in November 2023.
