November 29, Johor, Malaysia — Bain Capital backed Bridge Data Centres (BDC), a leading Southeast Asia-based hyperscale data center solutions platform, announced it has signed the MY07 Electricity Supply Agreement (ESA) with Malaysia’s leading energy solutions provider Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB).
Finalized in an accelerated timeframe, this agreement represents Malaysia’s fastest ESA delivery to meet the critical energy needs of a cutting-edge data center, according to TNB. Central to the agreement, the two parties signed a Bilateral Energy Supply Contract (BESC) Head of Terms (HoT) under the Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS).
The MY07 data center is BDC’s newest facility, currently under construction in Johor Ulu Tiram, Malaysia. Once completed, MY07 will be a state-of-the-art hyperscale data center designed to cater to the growing demand for digital infrastructure in the region.
The signing ceremony, held at the TNB Headquarters in Jalan Bangsar, was graced by key executives, including Datuk Ir. Megat Jalaluddin Bin Megat Hassan, President/CEO of TNB, and Mr. Eric Fan, CEO of Bridge Data Centres.

“Today marks a significant step forward in our partnership with Bridge Data Centres (BDC) as we solidify our joint efforts in driving Malaysia’s energy transition. Through the TNB Green Lane Pathway initiative, combined with our One-Stop Centre services, we are proud to guarantee rapid deployment of energy solutions within just 12 months.”
He added, “BDC becomes the first partner under the Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS) framework, a milestone facilitated by our wholly-owned subsidiary, TNB Renewables Sdn Bhd.
