Tencent Cloud and Digital Edge Collaborate to Enhance Connectivity in EDGE1 Data Center in Jakarta

Tencent Cloud, a leading cloud service provider, has announced a strategic collaboration with Digital Edge to enhance connectivity through integration with the Edge Peering Internet Exchange (EPIX) at EDGE1 data center in Jakarta, operated by PT Ekagrata Data Gemilang (“EDGE DC”).

EDGE1 is strategically located in downtown Jakarta, close to major internet hubs. The facility is equipped with 6.0 MW of IT Load and 5 floors of data hall which can accommodate up to 1,300 racks.

It serves as a valuable resource for various participants such as Carriers, ISPs, Content Providers, and Enterprises, facilitating swift and cost-effective exchange of IP traffic.

Whether the objective is to optimize network performance, enhance redundancy, or reduce operational costs, EPIX provides an ideal platform to connect with the global network.

With a global infrastructure network spanning 26 geographic areas and 70 availability zones, Tencent Cloud boasts extensive coverage, including two data centers in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The collaboration with Digital Edge demonstrates Tencent Cloud’s dedication to fostering connectivity and reinforcing digital infrastructure in emerging markets, particularly in Indonesia.
