Malaysian construction giant Sunway Construction Group Bhd has recently secured an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) job for a data center in Johor, according to an exchange filing yesterday. The contract, awarded by a US technology firm, is worth RM1.02 billion (US$ 250 million). The MEP fit-out is to commence immediately and is expected to be completed by 4Q 2027.
Both the name of the US client and the exact location of the data center were not disclosed in the filing.
