ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) Philippines has announced the successful completion of its 1.2MW data center situated in Makati City.
This facility, designed to be carrier-neutral, has a capacity of approximately 100 racks, accommodating loads ranging from 5kW to 12kW. Operations are set to commence this month.
Compliant with Tier III standards, the data center utilizes an environmentally friendly ventilation and air conditioning system. It incorporates energy-efficient equipment, a rainwater catchment system, and solar panels for sustainable electricity generation. Emphasizing security, the facility employs multiple layers of protection to ensure its integrity.
STT GDC Philippines already operates three data centers in Metro Manila, along with one each in Cavite and Davao. Earlier this year, the company unveiled plans to expand its Makati, Cavite, and Quezon City data centers by a total of 5.2MW.
Additionally, alongside the existing Quezon City data center, STT GDC Philippines is in the process of establishing the Fairview data center campus in Quezon City, slated to be operational in early 2025.
The Fairview facility, anticipated to have an impressive 124 MW of IT load capacity, is planned to be the largest, most interconnected, sustainable, and carrier-neutral data center campus in the country.
