ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) Philippines celebrated the commencement of construction for their 7th data center in the Philippines, the STT Cavite 2.
According to Carlo Malana, CEO and President of STT GDC Philippines, STT Cavite 2 is engineered with an IT capacity of 6 MW, specifically tailored for hyperscalers and enterprises seeking top-tier colocation facilities.
This development underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing the nation’s digital infrastructure. Additionally, the facility is designed, constructed, and operated with a focus on security, reliability, and sustainability.
Noteworthy figures, including Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla, DICT Secretary Ivan Uy, Congressman Ferrer, and Mayor Ferrer, showed their support for the project, signifying strong governmental backing.
This groundbreaking event follows another significant achievement for the company earlier this year when they initiated the construction of STT Fairview in Quezon City.
This 124 MW facility is hailed as the largest, most interconnected, carrier-neutral, and sustainable data center in the Philippines.
