STL gets ₹250 crore optic fiber deployment deal with an Indian Telco

Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL), an integrator of digital networks, has just announced that it has bagged a Rs 250 crore multi-year deal from a leading Indian telecom operator. It is worth noting that the name of the telecom operator has not been disclosed by the company. The partnership is to help the telco with setting up the optical network. This is not the first time that STL will work with this telecom operator.

 

STL will also be responsible for 3 years of operations and management to ensure the reliable functioning of the envisaged project. Under the project, STL intends to provide a pre-integrated suite of optical fiber cables comprising armored, duct, and universal cables complying with varied deployment scenarios and integration services with its end-to-end deployment methodology.

According to a recent survey, the data center market in India is projected to grow from approximately $5.6 billion to $8 billion by 2026. STL is to cater to this demand through its comprehensive solutions.
