Singapore Cloud & Datacenter Convention 2023

Leading data centers into a new era

Necessity is said to be the mother of invention and Singapore has proven that through its history and through its development as a data center hub. Its estimated capacity of over 600 MW is located on a small island with no fossil fuel resources and limited access to renewables. Singapore has prospered through innovation that has woven data centers and technology into the fabric of the state as a key to the future. Combined with social stability, transparency and various rankings for doing business where it is always in the Top Ten, this creates a sought-after ecosystem in which to locate a data center.

But the data center landscape is changing and the data center of the future will be denser, better connected, more automated, more reliant on sources of renewable energy and more reliant on specialist skill sets. How will Singapore manage this upcoming wave of changes in order to retain its premium status globally?
