Singapore-based data center developer and operator Racks Central has officially begun construction on RCJM 1, its first data center within its Johor AI Campus, which will be the launch point of its planned 500-700MW development pipeline across SIJORI and Southeast Asia, the firm said in a Linkedin posting last week. The AI-ready facility is slated to be Ready For Service (RFS) by Q4 2026, the first of a series of AI campuses that the company plans to build across the region.

Details are however scant about RCJM 1. Its website states that it has evolved from being a colocation provider to being a regional developer and operator of large-scale, AI-ready campuses across Singapore, Johor, and Batam — the SIJORI Digital Corridor — delivering over 500 MW of IT capacity with low-latency cross-border connectivity.
