Pure Data Centres has announced the opening of its first project that is going live in the Middle East. The AUH01 data center is located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to a Pure DC spokesperson, AUH01 supports the deployment of hyperscale infrastructure in the region, reducing latency and capable of hosting cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads. At present, it has over 45MW either deployed or under development.
“We are proud to have completed construction and opened our first Data Centre in the Middle East. We are committed to support the realization of the region’s vision in AI leadership and further digitization through cloud service deployments,” said Dame Dawn Childs DBE FREng, CEO, Pure Data Centres Group. “We hope to do this through additional DC projects and expanding our presence in the GCC.”
AUH01 provides flexibility for both AI and Cloud deployments, including the implementation of liquid cooling options based on customers preferences. The company places great emphasis on sustainability.

The design of AUH01 campus aligns with the sustainability goals Pure DC and is optimized to provide the latest sustainable technologies for customers.
