Pulse Data Centre announces Vocus network service availability

Pulse Data Centre (Pulse DC), established in 2018 and a wholly owned subsidiary of the FKG Group, today announced availability of Vocus services at its Toowoomba data centre.

Located in Queensland, Pulse DC offers Tier III Uptime Certified data centre services for corporate, enterprise, defence and government customers. Vocus, Australia’s specialist fibre and network solutions provider owns and operates a 25,000km national fibre network connecting business and government.

This partnership will directly benefit Pulse DC’s clients, offering additional carrier choice, network diversity and redundancy. Vocus will also offer Pulse DC’s range of colocation services to its customers.

Pulse DC General Manager John Henderson said the partnership was important for data centre clients who valued highly secure and reliable WAN infrastructure servicing Australia’s largest business and government entities.

“As a top three provider of Australian internet traffic, Vocus plays a critical role in Australia’s digital landscape with its national footprint, international submarine cable network and low earth orbit satellite capabilities that connect Australia to the rest of the world,” John said.

Vocus’ Chief Executive Enterprise and Government, Andrew Wildblood, said “We’re delighted that Vocus’ network and services will now be directly available to even more customers through PulseDC. The Toowoomba region continues to show economic growth and is attracting new industries that will demand higher bandwidth and greater connectivity solutions.

“As a quality provider of tier III colocation data centres to regional Australia, Pulse DC forms an important part of Vocus’ overall colocation capability. The combination of Pulse DC facilities and the Vocus network offers customers the same quality of services that metropolitan Australia enjoys.

“Additionally, Pulse DC’s Toowoomba data centre houses key network infrastructure for the Vocus network backbone in South East Queensland, so customers in this data centre can benefit from metro-grade network performance,” Wildblood explained.
