General Secretary, Vietnam Internet Association & CEO | Vietnam Internet Association (VIA)
Binh has been working for NetNam, one of the first ISP in Vietnam, since 1996. He was a networking engineer at NetNam and IoIT (Institute of IT, Vietnam Academy of Science & Technology) till 2000, then changed to the business side in NetNam Company, a state-owned company established in 1998. He took the job as deputy of that company from 2007 until its equitizsation on 2010, when he was assigned as NetNam CEO.
Binh spent lots of time attending internet development projects for IoIT/NetNam and Vietnam, with the support from IDRC, InWent, ASEAN foundation and other global organizations.
Since 2016, he was assigned to be the General Secretary of Vietnam Internet Association (VIA), an organization having mission to develop Internet in Vietnam, as well as to be the bridge between internet industry/community and Vietnam government.
Binh also has interest in Free & Open Source Software (FOSS) development and take part in VFOSSA (Vietnam Free & Open Source Software Association) board as a VP, to promote FOSS within Vietnam.
Binh graduated Hanoi University of Technology as electronic & IT engineer, and has MBA degree, and spending a year studying in Germany (2002-2003) on open source, cyber security & e-business subjects.
