Malcolm joined DCI Data Centers in 2020 and is responsible for the company’s direction and expansion in Australia and New Zealand.
Malcolm is an experienced ICT executive having established Metronode as a leading Australian data centre services provider in Australia. Prior to joining DCI Data Centers, he was Vocus Group’s Head of Strategic Projects, where he was responsible for the strategic development of the Group’s business. He subsequently cofounded Open Edge dc, an edge computing start-up whose activities have now been absorbed into DCI.
Under Malcolm’s leadership as General Manager, Metronode grew to become one of Australia’s leading data centre services providers with an excellent reputation for reliability, energy-efficiency and security. Metronode was acquired by Equinix for more than A$1 billion in early 2018.
Malcolm roe led the bid and contract negotiation for the $200 million NSW Government data centre reform project to deliver two large-scale “GovDC” facilities on-time and on-budget.
