Johnson Tan

Director | APAC Head of Building Operations | Barclays Bank

Johnson is the APAC Head of Building Operations. He is responsible for Real Estate, Projects, Engineering, Facilities, Health and Safety and Environment for Barclays Bank.

Johnson has more than 18 years of professional experience in critical engineering design and operations which include Tier 3 Data Centers, Trading floors and Smart Offices. He has previously worked for Deutsche Bank AG, Jones Lang LaSalle and Hewlett Packard.

Johnson was a Speaker at the Data Center World Conference 2014 in Hong Kong, Data Center Dynamics 2015 in Singapore, and Judging Panel for the Data Center Dynamics Data Center Award Judging Panel in 2014 and 2016.

Johnson obtained a B.Eng. (First Class honors) degree in Electrical Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University, and an M.Sc.(Environmental Management) degree from the National University of Singapore. He is a Professional Engineer, and is also a Green Mark Manager accredited by the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore, and a Licensed Electrical Worker by the Energy Market Authority of Singapore. Johnson is also the  Sword of Merit recipient from the Singapore Armed Forces.
