Heder Ariffin Hasan
Datacenter Operations Manager | Newfold Digital
Since prior to the advent of the Y2K bug Heder Ariffin Hasan had been professionally involved in the network operations and systems administration of a globally established Financial Information Services provider. Their regional Data Centers were each hosting an ecosystem of legacy Compute platforms and each of those DCs were interconnected via circuit-switching packet overlay Networks. These DCs were integral in providing their subscribers with reliable and resilient news and market data feeds products including trading terminals and dealing platforms in real-time.
Heder’s career since then specialized towards network products having led the Optical and IP Network deployments in Asia Pacific for Enterprise Data Center interconnects, FSI, Telco and Storage systems manufacturers using DWDM and IP/MPLS. In the year 2011 he also consulted in the early engineering draft stages of the Optical Backbone Network for the B2JS submarine cable system with a total fiber capacity of 2.5TB using the then 100G OTN superchannels coherent detection technology. He was involved with the provision of Ultra Low-latency networks for High-Frequency trading applications of FSIs.
The market adoption of Cloud technologies has also influenced his career to focus in enabling DCs with the connectivity required to support the DC Cloud infrastructure. He administered a Cloud Exchange platform for clients having multi-cloud interconnection needs while working for a Hyperscale DC provider.
