Harme Mohamed
Director, Cyber Security Technology Division | National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA)
Harme is the Director of Cyber Security Technology Division at the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA), a position he assumed since August 2017. At NACSA, Harme is responsible for the Division that looks into the ever-changing threat environment and the impact of technologies on Malaysian cyber environment, with the objective of embracing technology innovations while continuing to enhance Malaysia’s cyber agility and resilience.
Prior to the position in NACSA, Harme was the Head, Digital Surveillance Division at the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), where he was responsible for managing the network security and safety related issues. Harme’s experience at MCMC spanned 18 years, where he started his career at the MCMC in September 1999 in the IT Department and gained his experience in a communications regulatory environment through the policy, technical and international relations departments within MCMC.
He was also part of the negotiation team for Malaysia in the World Trade Organization (WTO) for the telecommunications sector, computer related services and postal and courier sector as well as several other Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and Closer Economic Partnership Agreements that Malaysia has entered into.
Harme holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Indiana University, Bloomington.
