Asher Ling is the Managing Director, Singapore at Princeton Digital Group (PDG). Asher is responsible for all of PDG’s investments, expansion, technical and business operations in Singapore. He cultivated extensive data center industry expertise during his time working with Kingsland Development, a private-owned property development firm in Singapore and Malaysia. He also held roles leading the M&A team focused on Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) deals in KPMG Corporate Finance (Singapore) and worked with Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA).
During his tenure at Kingsland, Asher founded the data center subsidiary and transformed it from a challenger start-up to its acquisition by Keppel DC REIT for US$295.1M. Additionally, he founded Asia Digital Fort in 2017, which co-invests with Warburg Pincus and PDG in Singapore data center projects. In 2019, PDG fully acquired a Singapore data center business that was previously part of IO Data Centers.
Asher is a highly distinguished leader in the Singapore market. He and his team received the Singapore Business Review Management Excellence Award in 2020. Asher also received the Data Center Asia Leadership Award, presented as part of BroadGroup’s DataCloud Asia Awards. He holds a Masters in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering ( summa cum laude , with a minor in Economics, from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor).
