Stuart built his skills for producing high-quality content by achieving first-class Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the UK’s top university for Journalism and English Language.

Dharmesh Jani (‘DJ’) has been an active member of OCP since 2012. DJ has over 20+ years of experience in various roles spanning engineering, product management, and business strategy. He started his career at Rockwell Science Center designing ultra-high speed circuits in CMOS, subsequently as a system designer he designed first terrestrial FEC based optical transmission system at Corvis Systems. As a product manager at Semtech, he introduced the world’s first coherent 100G MUX for ultra-long-haul transport systems. Prior to joining Facebook, DJ led the cloud transformation for the biggest business unit at Flex. He was instrumental in bringing Flex into OCP and via founding of CloudLabs team, building core competencies within Flex to launch a cloud business unit. In his current role at Facebook, he is responsible for leading OCP and other open technologies, working with stakeholders inside and outside Facebook. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Infinera and Intel among others listed above. DJ is based out of Menlo Park, CA and is looking forward to working with the OCP Community and leadership team to continue the drive towards more open infrastructure.

Steve is currently the VP of Channel for the Open Compute Project (OCP).  In this role he helps to educate organisations on the benefits of open hardware designs and the value of “community-driven” engineering for the data centre. He works closely with Solution Providers and Manufacturers to help organisations adopt Open
Compute across all regions and segments of the market.

Steve spent the last 14 years living and working in Asia holding various Leadership and Channel Development roles for companies like Microsoft and Rackspace. He recently moved to London last year to focus on building the EMEA business.

Currently the VP of Channel for the Open Compute Project (OCP) – an open source project started by Facebook in 2011 focused on high efficiency data centre infrastructure. In this role I help to educate organisations on the benefits of open hardware designs, the value of “community-driven” engineering and how to apply the circular economy in the re-purposing of hyperscale data centre infrastructure for enterprises.

Yabin joined Facebook back in 2016 as a Sourcing Manager and was responsible for procuring OCP racks for Facebook’s data centers around the globe. That experience allowed her to understand the OCP server lifecycle from concept to delivery.  She moved from California to Singapore in the start of 2020 and is now a Business Operations Program Manager in the Infrastructure Data Center group.  In her current role, one of her core responsibilities is to work with the OCP Foundation and other members of the Facebook Infrastructure team to promote and raise awareness of OCP in APAC.

Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer | Maynilad Water Services

Dr. Francisco Castillo is currently Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Maynilad Water Services, inc., the water concessionaire for the West area of Manila’s greater metropolitan area, which serves over 9 million people. 

In 2013 he was named “Outstanding ASEAN CIO” by IDG, and this 2016 was voted Best ASEAN CIO 2016 during the ASEAN IT Strategy Forum in Singapore. 

He is an ECE graduate from the De La Salle University, and holds a Ph.D. in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad Politecnica de Cataluña (Barcelona, Spain), where he also taught as Associate Professor and was Associate Director (equivalent to Vice Dean) for the Technical Engineering College.

Under his watch in Maynilad, the company attained ISO20,000 certification, and is one of the few companies in the region to hold an SAP Customer Center of Expertise accreditation. Last 2016, Maynilad was nominated to the SAP CCOE Global award, the first time an Asian company is nominated.

Aside from being in charge of the IT Dept., he also heads  the Plant Automation & Industrial Design Depts., making it one of the first companies to have an integrated IT and OT setup.

He is also the author of the book entitled “Managing Information Technology” published by Springer (Germany) this 2016, intended to be a one-stop shop guide for CIOs and IT Professionals interested in the best practices in managing a technology setup.
