Converge ICT Solutions Inc has joined forces with Supermicro, a US tech giant, to usher in a new era of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Philippines. This collaboration focuses on building the country’s first AI-powered data centers, prioritizing both cutting-edge technology and environmental sustainability.

Converge is excited about this partnership, aiming to establish “cutting-edge, AI-ready data centers” according to CEO Dennis Anthony Uy. Supermicro’s technology plays a key role in this vision. Their servers boast exceptional AI processing capabilities and utilize advanced liquid cooling systems. This innovative approach reduces energy consumption by up to 40%, making these data centers champions of green technology.

The agreement extends beyond energy efficiency. Supermicro’s servers are designed to handle demanding AI and machine learning tasks, paving the way for a wide range of AI applications in the Philippines. Converge has already announced plans to construct three data centers strategically located in Pampanga, Laguna, and Caloocan. These facilities will be built with future-proof designs, ensuring they can accommodate the evolving needs of the AI landscape.

This collaboration between Converge and Supermicro signifies a significant step towards a more AI-driven Philippines. The energy-efficient data centers will provide the necessary infrastructure to support various AI applications, fostering advancements in areas like large language models, smart manufacturing, and deep learning. This initiative has the potential to propel the Philippines into the forefront of AI development, all while maintaining a commitment to environmental responsibility.
