Nxera, Singtel Group’s regional data center arm, today announced the opening of DC Tuas, its largest, and one of Singapore’s highest power-density at 58MW, as well as one of its most energy-efficient data centers with a power usage effectiveness (PUE) of 1.25 at full load. The 120,000-square- foot, eight-storey facility is also said to feature the largest direct-to-chip liquid cooling deployment in the country capable of supporting high computing power of more than 30kW per rack.

It is also Singapore’s only hyperconnected data centre integrated with a cable landing station, according to its press release. This enables the AI-ready data center to deliver lower latency and stronger network performance, while offering carrier neutrality.

DC Tuas was awarded the highest Green Mark Platinum standard by Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority and Infocomm Media Development Authority. It also leverages solar power, rainwater harvesting, condensate reuse and blowdown recovery, among other sustainable practices.

More than 90 per cent of its capacity was committed to customers even before the launch.

In February 2025, Nxera secured a US$ 506 million (S$643 million) five-year green loan to finance DC Tuas. Among the loan consortium members were DBS, OCBC, Standard Chartered, HSBC and UOB.

Bill Chang, CEO of Nxera and Singtel’s Digital InfraCo unit, said, “The opening of our new AI- ready data centre, DC Tuas, is an important milestone for Nxera as we expand our role in enabling AI innovations in Singapore. The ability to deploy higher-density, compute-intensive AI workloads sustainably, is increasingly critical for a strategic market where data centre capacity is constrained. As Singapore’s highest power density, most energy efficient and largest liquid-cooled multi-tenanted data centre, DC Tuas reinforces the country’s position as a global AI hub and supports accelerating AI adoption.”

DC Tuas expands total Nxera’s capacity in Singapore to 120MW to meet increasing demand for AI, cloud and high-performance computing workloads from enterprises and hyperscalers. It further enhances Singtel Digital InfraCo’s end-to-end digital infrastructure platform, which spans connectivity, subsea cables and data centres across Asia Pacific.

Nxera’s capacity will be further expanded when its Batam and Johor facilities come onstream in the second half of 2026. Its operational and pipeline capacity is expected to more than double from 200MW in 2026 to over 400MW in the mid-term. The firm is committed to achieving scope 1 and 2 net-zero emissions by 2028.
